Who is Diogenes: Diogenes of Sinope

Diogenes, an ancient philosopher who was the pioneer of Cynic philosophy, was born in Sinope in 412 (or 404) BC and died in Corinth in 323 BC. He is known as Diogenes of Sinope. The Cynicism movement, which emerged in the Hellenistic period as a reaction to post-ancient political developments, is based on the principle of living within civilization but far from civilization. He rejects a life bound by the rules of civilization and argues that life should be natural and simple. Also known as living like a dog. It is also known that those who adopt this philosophy sometimes engage in mercenary service when they are broke. That’s why this trend could not provide continuity.
